Listed below are some of the tests most frequently taken by students at Snake River High School.
Complete description of each test may be obtained from the counseling office.
COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS
College and Universities require an entrance examination. The SAT is given to all Juniors in April. It is
highly recommended that juniors/seniors also take the ACT. College and Universities will take the
highest score.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTS (AP)
Test given in a particular subject area such as Advanced Biology, Advanced English, Advanced
Art, or Advanced Math. Students scoring 3, 4, or 5 on a scale of 1-5 are usually awarded
college credits.
ARMED SERVICE VOCATIONAL APTITUDE TEST BATTERY (ASVAB)
Test given in the winter of the junior year in high school to help students in their career
planning. This test is administered by the Armed Service Personnel at the high school.
